I grew up with my Grandmother, an senior Australian woman, living with my family and spent most afternoons after school with her.
After listening to this young woman speak on "the daily English show" ,I realized that this may be the source of my own problems communicating with others. People frequently ask me "are you mumbling?' or "is that English you're speaking?" etc. Perhaps I just picked up some Oz myself. Australians, now there's a cult for ya!
